Your role in helping us shape the future:
The U.S. News & World Report Hospital Data Insights (HDI) suite of products consists of multiple web-based analytics platforms that provide subscribers instant access to a rich archive of U.S. News Best Hospitals, Best Regional Hospitals, Best Children's Hospitals rankings data. This B2B solution includes custom visualizations and exportable data sets for internal analyses and strategic planning. Our subscribers range from small hospitals to large healthcare networks, with users working in Quality Assurance, Marketing, Strategy & Planning, and more.
The Account Executive, HDI is a unique position that will assist our Hospital Data Insights team in driving new business. This position will directly contribute to the success of HDI by leading sales initiatives and driving new business. The Account Executive will develop account plans, research accounts within their territory, and manage their sales pipeline to drive revenue.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in B2B, SaaS sales, client relations, training and development, and exposure to working with data and product teams. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Achieve Domain Knowledge: Understand the HDI products and the U.S. News' Best Hospitals’ data sets and methodologies at a deep level.

Drive New Business: Meet/exceed new business sales targets. Generate quality leads and research the marketplace for continued sources of revenue growth. Identify new potential clients.

Outreach: Build awareness through targeted outreach, discovery calls, tailored product demonstrations, client presentations, and outreach campaigns.

Client Relations: Build and maintain rapport with new clients through exceptional service. Develop account plans and guide potential customers through the buying process.

Strategy: Develop sales strategies based on industry trends and data. Work with the Hospital Data Insights team and USNWR to build this business.
Position Requirements
You should definitely have:
- Minimum three years of similar or related business development and client outreach experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- A proven ability to exceed aggressive sales target.
- Negotiation and closing experience
- Is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Can work collaboratively with a team or independently, as needed
- Self-motivation, organization, and deductive problem-solving skills
- The ability to travel to industry events and represent U.S. News
It would be nice if you had:

Experience navigating the healthcare industry - calling on hospitals and healthcare networks and working with hospital executives or leaders.

Experience working with or selling SaaS products, data platforms, or subscription-based services.

Background in learning and development, along with experience completing tailored trainings or demonstrations of a product for educational or business purposes.

Experience absorbing rich data-driven methodologies, working through complex demonstrations, and handling analytical questions.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $60,000 - $72,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
