Accountable for developing, coordinating, and executing strategic internal communications in partnership with key divisions and departments such as dean of the college, dean of the faculty, athletics and human resources. Responsible for preparation of drafts, edits, and producing communications of all types, including e-newsletters, articles, timely announcements to the community, and overall communications.
Accountable for advancing storytelling, brand awareness, and institutional strategic priorities targeting audiences of students, faculty, staff, administration and senior-level executives across the university.
Accountable for maintaining the highest publication standards, ensuring all content shared is consistent with, and elevated to, university editorial, branding, and style guides.
Provides support for crisis/emergency communications.
Assists with content creation for and maintenance of division websites.
Knowledge or experience in higher education preferred.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in communications, project management, marketing, recruitment, public relations, journalism, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field required.
Excellent writing, editing, publication, and project management skills.
Broad understanding of traditional and social media platforms and with experience in web content writing and social media content creation.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to interact comfortably with a broad spectrum of individuals within the organization to gain consensus.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients across all divisions.
