St. Louis Public Radio seeks a full-time talk show producer to produce digital and broadcast content for its talk show program St. Louis on the Air and other special broadcasts.
The job entails spearheading the show's digital presence by ensuring the show has a consistent voice online and in social media. The producer will also be responsible for producing, researching and booking guests for show segments, and producing other broadcast content.
The ideal candidate should have an insatiable curiosity, an ability to produce compelling, thoughtful and thought-provoking show content online and on-air, capacity to understand the challenges and opportunities that face the St. Louis region and grasp our connection to national and global issues, enthusiasm for finding new ways to increase the impact of our work and ability to initiate metrics analysis to assess engagement.
The Talk Show Producer will report to the Senior Talk Show Producer.
- A Bachelor's degree in in communications, journalism or related area.
- One year of journalism or communications experience.
- Additional journalism or communications experience.
- Radio and audio production experience.
