Job Description:
The Role
Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor for its global Emerging Markets, Bonds, Stocks, and Currencies team in New York. The editor will be responsible for helping shepherd stories on credit markets from Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America. In addition, the editor will be responsible for helping shepherd interviews with prominent money managers and investment strategists, along with covering major movements of bonds, currencies and stocks. The ideal candidate will also have several years of experience editing feature stories, at least five years of experience in business journalism, and knowledge of or experience in emerging economies. The editor will be expected to deliver clear and concise copy under deadline pressure and serve as a mentor and coach to reporters.
Skills:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, business and emerging markets
-Minimum of five years of experience in business journalism
